About This Course

Al Pachter of Al’s Guitar Shop in Fairfax, Virginia returns to the Lutherie Academy with his second course in his cosmetic repairs series. In this course he shows how to use carbon fiber mesh overlay to reinforce a broken headstock. This modern technique is widely being adopted by repair people in the industry as the “go to” technique for fixing broken headstocks. Not only does Al show how to do the repair, but he also addresses the cosmetic aspect as well.
